Michael Parks Randa is an award-winning writer, director, and inclusion activist from the sticks of Massachusetts, currently based in Los Angeles. Raised on a farm where his family ran a school for folks with disabilities for 50 years, Randa was raised with a unique perspective on the world around him.
Cutting his teeth directing music videos straight out of college, he's collaborated with an eclectic range of acclaimed artists, including Rick Ross, Shovels & Rope, mewithoutYou, Dave East, Delta Spirit, State Radio, and Bartees Strange. Over the span of his commercial career he's directed global campaigns for Bose, Pokemon, Converse, Tom Brady, and Nerf.
His feature directorial debut 'Best Summer Ever' premiered at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival, taking home the Grand Jury Prize for Screenwriting and recognized as a New York Times Critics Pick. Following in his parents footsteps, the original 8-song musical features an integrated cast and crew of talent with and without disabilities. Jamie Lee Curtis, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Mary Steenbergen and Ted Danson served as Executive Producers on the film. Randa returned to the 2022 SXSW Film Festival with the world prermiere of an inclusive music video for Delta Spirit starring acclaimed actors Zack Gottsagen and Jamie Brewer, both with Downs-syndrome.
