Michael Parks Randa is an American filmmaker and inclusion advocate, originally from the sticks of Massachusetts. Raised on a farm where his family operated a school for individuals with disabilities for over 50 years, Randa developed a lifelong commitment to equity and representation. He began his career directing music videos straight out of college, collaborating with a wide range of acclaimed artists including Rick Ross, Shovels & Rope, mewithoutYou, Dave East, Delta Spirit, State Radio, and Bartees Strange. His commercial work includes global campaigns for brands such as Bose, Pokémon, Converse, Nerf, and Tom Brady. Randa’s feature directorial debut, BEST SUMMER EVER, premiered at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize for Screenwriting and was named a New York Times Critics’ Pick. The groundbreaking 8-song original musical featured an inclusive cast and crew of people with and without disabilities, following in the legacy of his family’s work.
